How to Control Multi Device Ringing in the TeleCloud Portal
In this guide, you’ll learn how to manage multi-device ringing in your TeleCloud user portal.
This feature gives you full control over which of your devices ring when you receive a call, including your desk phone, mobile app, and web phone.
Follow the steps below to configure your multi-device ringing setup:
Step 1: Open the Answering Rules Section
- Click on the Answering Rules tab in the main menu.
- This is where you can manage how and when calls ring across all your devices.
Step 2: Edit Your Active Answering Rule
- Locate your active answering rule in the list.
- Click the Edit button on the right-hand side to open its settings.
Step 3: Understand Simultaneous Ringing
- By default, Simultaneous Ring is turned on.
- This means all your connected devices — like your desk phone, mobile app, and web phone — ring together whenever you receive a call.
Step 4: Set Your Ringing Preference
- If you only want your desk phone to ring, unselect both: Ring All User’s Phones & Simultaneous Ring
- The system will automatically select "Just Ring User’s Extension" as the default.
Step 5: Customize Simultaneous Ringing
- To choose which devices ring together, make sure Simultaneous Ring is selected but Ring All User’s Phones is unselected.
- Click the open field to manually select which devices or extensions will ring simultaneously.
Step 6: Add Devices or Extensions
- Add any combination of devices such as: Web Phone, Mobile App, and Desk Phone
- Other Extensions (for example, extension 105 and extension 101 ringing together)
- You can add up to 10 devices or extensions.
Step 7: Set Ring Delays (Optional)
- Use ring delays to control which devices ring first.
- For example, you can have your desk phone ring immediately and your mobile app ring after a few seconds.
Step 8: Remove or Adjust Devices
- To remove a device or extension from your simultaneous ring list, click Delete next to that item.
Step 9: Save Your Configuration
- Once your preferences are set, click Save to apply your changes.
- Your new multi-device ringing setup is now active and ready to use.
Step 10: Test and Adjust as Needed
- Make a test call to confirm your setup works as expected.
- Adjust ring order or add/remove devices anytime through the Answering Rules section.
